A dog house can come in many forms

Any size or shape of your dog house is sure to please your dog. He doesn’t need to have an interior decorator and will be happy if it just keeps the rain and wind off of him. That would be the basic requirement of a dog house. It has to stay dry and some what warm on the inside in the rain. That’s all any dog really cares about.

A dog house can be made with almost any material. From wood to plastic, if it keeps them dry they won’t be picky. Try to make sure that when you buy a house for your dog, that it is large enough for him. A small house is a pain for everyone, especially for your dog.

A dog house needs only to be large enough to fit your dog. If you throw in an old blanket to help keep him warm and place the house in a fairly quiet part of your yard, there is no reason why your dog won’t use it (unless he’s claustrophobic). A quiet place for your dog to go to is always a great idea. Everyone needs a place to hide: even your dog.
