A barking collar is an investment in a quiet night

A barking collar is a wonderful tool to help train your dog. It will help you to teach your dog that there are appropriate times in which to bark. When your dog is outside and running free in a park that is an acceptable time in which to allow him to make noise. If it is 4 in the morning, it might be a good time to put the barking collar on him.

A barking collar will send a short electrical pulse to your dog when he barks. Thus, enforcing a negative feeling when he does something bad. It is more effective than you yelling at him to be quiet from the top of the stairs. And it saves you from having to get out of bed. Just be sure to put the collar on tight enough that he doesn’t manage to slip it off.

Do not have the barking collar on at all times. It is in a dog’s nature to bark. Give them a chance to make noise and express themselves. It is after all, why you got a dog. Once the dog has learned when it is okay for him to make noise, the collar can go into storage for the next puppy that comes into your life.
