National pet toy manufacturing company goes global with expanded product line and eCommerce website

After 12 years of manufacturing and supplying major mass retailers with cotton rope dog toys, Pet Friendly, Inc. has expanded its product line to include a wide variety of unique, patented pet products, including two-story dog houses, hand-crafted pet beds, dog breed owner’s guides, all-natural pet treats and private-label pet shampoos.

In order to increase global exposure, and satisfy the demand for many of its unique products, the company employed Greg S. Owens to start and manage its newly formed Web development department.

Owens is an award-winning Web developer and an original member of the advisory committee to the eCommerce Degree program at the University of South Alabama, with over three-dozen eCommerce-enabled, corporate websites to his credit.

Pet Friendly came to me with the vision of expanding their product line and broadening their distribution base, to include world-wide exposure. With the recent launch of PetFriendly.com, that vision has been realized, says Owens. The company spent months researching the pet product industry to find items that were truly unique and in-demand by both consumers and their pets.

We found individuals and small businesses all over the country that had brilliant, one-of-a-kind products and ideas just itching for some global exposure. We helped develop some of those products and gave them a home on our website.

The result is a fully-functioning, eCommerce-enabled website that showcases the best products our industry has to offer to the world. Owens continues, Since we were thinking global and not just national, we made our website available in eight different languages.

The result has been fantastic, as evidenced by inquiries we have received from China, Mexico, South Africa, Canada and South Korea. For more information, see pet training aids.
