Tour For Life arrives in Maricopa County to save shelter pets
In an effort to find the best adoptive homes for cats and dogs, North Shore Animal League America, in conjunction with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, brings its brightly-colored 35-foot-long mobile adoption unit to Phoenix as part of its Fourth
Annual Tour for Life®.
The community is invited to this exciting event designed to encourage local pet lovers and prospective adopters alike to learn about pet adoption and meet lots of adorable mutt-i-gree® and pedigree dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens currently living in local shelters and in need of good homes.
The goal of the 34-city Tour for Life, which will travel from the Golden Gate to the Empire State, is to spotlight animal shelters as the best places to adopt and make the public aware that shelter dogs and cats are wonderful lifetime companions. Along with
its sponsors, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Cat Chow, Fort Dodge Animal Health's ProHeart 6, Bayer Animal Health’s K9 Advantix, and TFH Publications & Nylabone® Products, the League’s Tour for Life takes place between April 2 and April 25 as it travels to 21 states, works with more than 100 animal organizations, and logs more than 25,000 miles.
