Pet toys Ain't What They Used To Be
Panic Mouse sweeps the awards at this year's American Pet Product Manufacturers Association show in Chicago with a 1ST Place Best New Cat Product and 2ND Place Best New Holiday Gift. Pet pampering was everywhere in evidence at this year's show - but none created greater interest than Panic Mouse; the world's greatest interactive cat toy.
Americans are spending more on their pets - an estimated $29 billion per year. According to the APPMA, Americans are treating pets more like people, with 56% reporting they bought toys for their pets in 2000, up from 46% in 1992. At the APPMA show, more than 600 manufacturers showcased their elaborately packaged wares. According to the Chicago Tribune, "...the majority of products were fairly traditional; dog food, kitty litter, leashes, cages, collars, rawhide bones. But there were also sights that industry observers said would have been in short supply 10 years ago. Humans increasingly view animals as part of the family."
A new product, Panic Mouse, rose significantly above the crowd. This innovative toy provides automated, random, "human-like" movements to stimulate the cat while generating hours of fun for both the family pet and owner. Panic Mouse is designed to provide both the end users (cat and owner) and the retailers new benefits that will change the structure and profitability of the cat toy industry forever.
With a recommended retail price of $29.99, Panic Mouse provides value to cat owners while generating significantly higher ring and profit margins for retailers.
What cat owner could resist a toy that provides hours of fun and exercise for the smallest member of the family? What retailer would not want to add excitement and profitability in the current unexciting cat toy section of their outlets?
